Deeside CAN stands for Climate Action Network. It also stands for Care And Nurture for our community, environment and planet. We are a group of people living in and around mid-Deeside in Aberdeenshire, who passionately want to do something to lower our carbon footprint to minimise climate change, reverse biodiversity loss and eliminate waste.

We started up in March 2019 and cover Banchory and surrounding villages, including Torphins, Crathes, Strachan, Finzean, Kincardine O’Neil, etc. We focus on raising awareness and working on projects to minimise climate change, decrease biodiversity loss and reduce waste. We also want to increase our community’s resilience to climate change through a robust and cohesive response.
